Project Assessments

Are there any project gaps we need to address? Have we considered and planned for the unexpected? Why do I feel like I'm not in control? Will I meet the deadline? Is everyone "rowing" in the same direction? Which deliverables are in jeopardy of being delayed, or worse, not completed? These are all tough questions that need to be asked, but more importantly, they need to be answered.

Conducting an independent review of your project is a valuable tool that determines whether your project is on-course and meets your business objectives. As for completed projects (perhaps without complete success), our Project Assessment can be used to objectively document lessons learned.

Digitalembrace specializes in affecting business change through the use of IT Project-based engagements. As part of each project, we regularly assess our own projects as a checkpoint to ensure we remain true to the project goals, processes and commitments. We use this same framework to assess your project.

Our Approach

Digitalembrace's Project Assessment is a comprehensive review of your project against the critical success factors of an effective project.

This approach is accomplished in 4 standard stages:

  • Stage 1 - Discovery & Information Gathering
  • Stage 2 - Project Effectiveness Analysis
  • Stage 3 - Report Compilation
  • Stage 4 - Presentation of Deliverables

This approach requires 5-6 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the project and your organization.

As part of the process, Digitalembrace will gather information and conduct interviews to assess how aligned the project is to your business objectives. As a result, you will uncover project strengths and areas of concerns.

Focus Areas

Our Assessment focuses on areas that can directly or indirectly send projects off-course. These areas include:

  • Project Governance & Strategic Control
  • Project Structure
  • Project Management Processes
  • Project Management Skills

Your Deliverables

As a result of this assessment, you will be provided with a written report containing the following:

  • Current State of Project
  • Project Scorecard
  • Business Impact Analysis
  • Recommendations and Action Plan

The results dove tails into your continuous process improvement efforts for planning and executing your future projects.
